At Bastar Decor, we take pride in offering distinctive handicrafts inspired by the traditional Dokra art of Bastar, Chhattisgarh. Established in 2012, our family business celebrates the beauty of handmade craftsmanship, where every piece has its own character.

We carefully inspect and pack our products before dispatch. However, if your order arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or does not meet the conditions outlined below, we are here to help.

Please read our Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy before placing an order.

1. Return Eligibility

Customers may request a return within 7 days of receiving their order, subject to the following conditions:

• The product must be unused and in its original condition.

• The product must be returned with its original packaging, accessories, and any accompanying items, wherever applicable.

• The product must not have been damaged due to mishandling, improper use, or accidental damage after delivery.

• Proof of purchase, such as an order confirmation or order number, must be provided.

Return requests submitted after the 7-day return window may not be accepted, except where required by applicable law.

2. Handmade Product Variations

Bastar Decor specializes in traditional handmade Dokra and brass handicrafts. Since our products are individually handcrafted, slight variations in shape, size, texture, colour, patterns, and finish may occur.

These natural variations are part of the handmade process and contribute to the uniqueness of each piece. Minor variations that are consistent with the product description and photographs are not considered defects and may not qualify for a return.

We encourage customers to review the product description, dimensions, materials, and photographs carefully before placing an order.

3. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or different from the product you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

To help us resolve the issue quickly, please provide:

• Your order number.

• Clear photographs of the product and the damage or defect.

• Photographs of the outer packaging and shipping label, where applicable.

• A brief description of the issue.

Please retain the product and its packaging until your request has been reviewed.

After verification, Bastar Decor may offer an appropriate resolution, such as a replacement, return, refund, or another remedy, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

For verified cases involving damage during shipping, manufacturing defects, or an incorrect product supplied by us, Bastar Decor will arrange or cover the reasonable return shipping costs, as applicable.

4. Products Not Eligible for Return

Unless the product is damaged, defective, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise eligible under applicable law, returns may not be accepted for:

• Products damaged after delivery due to misuse, mishandling, or improper storage.

• Products returned without the required original packaging or essential components.

• Products that have been altered, repaired, or modified by the customer.

• Products with normal handmade variations that match the description and disclosed characteristics of the item.

Any exclusion will be subject to applicable consumer protection laws. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

5. How to Request a Return

To request a return, please follow these steps:

Step 2: Provide your order number, reason for the return, and supporting photographs if relevant.

Step 3: Our team will review your request and communicate the next steps, including the return address and shipping instructions.

Step 4: Pack the product securely to help prevent damage during transit. Please do not send products back before receiving return instructions from our team.

Step 5: Once the returned product is received and inspected, we will notify you about the approval or rejection of your refund or other proposed resolution.

6. Return Shipping Charges

For returns due to a change of mind or reasons unrelated to a fault on our part, the customer will generally be responsible for the return shipping charges, subject to applicable law and any specific offer or written agreement.

For verified cases involving damaged, defective, or incorrect products supplied by Bastar Decor, we will arrange or cover reasonable return shipping costs, as applicable.

Shipping charges for the original order may not be refundable for customer-initiated returns, except where required by law or where the return results from an issue attributable to Bastar Decor.

Return shipping costs will be communicated before the return is arranged, wherever applicable.

7. Refund Policy

Once an eligible returned product has been received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.

If approved:

• Refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method wherever possible.

• For cash-on-delivery orders, we may request valid bank account details or another appropriate refund method.

• Refunds will generally be processed within 7–10 business days after approval. The time taken for the funds to appear in your account may depend on your bank, payment provider, or financial institution.

• Any applicable shipping charges, discounts, or deductions will be handled in accordance with the terms communicated at purchase and applicable law.

If a refund is delayed beyond the stated processing period, please contact us using the details provided below.

8. Order Cancellation

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number.

• Orders that have not been processed or dispatched may be eligible for cancellation.

• Orders that have already been dispatched may not be cancellable through the normal cancellation process and may instead be subject to the return policy.

• If a cancellation is approved for a prepaid order, the eligible refund will be processed to the original payment method wherever possible.

Bastar Decor reserves the right to cancel an order if a product is unavailable, a pricing or listing error occurs, or fulfilment becomes impossible. In such cases, any amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded as applicable.

9. Exchanges and Replacements

Exchanges and replacements are subject to product availability and approval.

If a product is eligible for replacement due to damage, a defect, or an incorrect item supplied, please contact us within the applicable reporting period.

If the same product is unavailable, we will discuss an appropriate alternative or refund, as applicable.

10. Orders Not Delivered or Returned to Sender

If tracking indicates that an order has not been delivered, please contact us so we can investigate with the shipping partner.

If an order is returned to the sender because of an incorrect or incomplete address, repeated failed delivery attempts, or the customer's refusal to accept delivery, we will review the circumstances and communicate the available options and any applicable shipping charges.

This provision does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.

11. Shipping and Delivery

Bastar Decor uses third-party shipping and logistics partners to deliver orders across eligible serviceable locations.

Shipping charges may vary depending on the delivery destination, package weight and dimensions, shipping service, and applicable courier rates. The applicable shipping charge, if any, will be displayed or communicated during checkout before the order is confirmed.

Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to courier operations, weather conditions, remote locations, or other circumstances beyond our control.
